Character application Vlcsnap-9399-1-

Name : Lili Zwingli ~ Liechtenstein
Age : 11-12
Gender : Female
Quarter : Southwest
Job : Collecting firewood (Hey, she's 12, she can't really do much of a job)
God/Goddess : Arete (Goddess of virtue, goodness, exellence and valour. It is said that she dwells on unclimable rocks where she is close to the gods and tends a holy place. She may not be seen by the eyes of mortals but watches over her beloeved children. Depicted to be fair and of high bearing, with a beauty that shines bright even in the darkest of times.)
Gift : An empath (The ability to lessen anothers suffering by takeing their pain into herself)

Personality : Lili is meek when you first meet her, due mostly to her youth being spent in an enviroment like the Southwest Quarter. She is giving as is her nature and retains the belief that no matter how bad her life gets, there is always someone out there that is worse off than she is. Therefore, she should not complain. Lili is an orphan, and has had to mature quicker than usual. She looks after herself mostly by earning money herself by collecting wood for a local wood cutter.

Despite this, she is passionate about what she believes in and can show tremendous will when it comes to defending those beliefs. One of her beliefs is in her Goddess, and she believes unfailingly in her Goddesses love for her and her kin. Lili loves to laugh when she can, and always tries to look on the bright side of life - though sometimes it is difficult. She is mature and yet childish, often lapsing to behave her own age. Her failing is her ability to trust too easily and to not notice danger around her. Her innocence often gets her into trouble.

Appearance : Lili has short shoulder-lenght dirty blonde hair, a little longer than in the picture above. She has emerald eyes that sparkle when she laughs, and a cute rounded face that still retains some of the baby fat from her childhood (she's still a child really). Her hair is sometimes pulled into short braids on either side of her head when she wants to keep it out of her face, or left loose with just her favourite ribbon in it - She has two, a purple one like in above, and a black one.

Having been born and raised in the Southwest, Lili does not have must money to spend frivoulously, - what she earns collecting wood goes towards food as well. Therefore, she possesses just one set of clothing. A thin cotton top and a pair of knee lenth pants which she wears under her dress. A plain brown dress which stops about her calves. She has a pair of old felt shoes which often do little to protect her feet from the cold, but are usefull still for protecting her shoes from the harsh earth. In return for the firewood, the wood cutter sometimes fixes up the soles of her shoes when they become to damaged to be worn.

Strenths :
Her ability to see good in anyone.
Her passion about her beliefs.
Hard Working
Determined
Willing to go out of ones way to help others

Weaknesses :
A sensitive person (often takes things too personally or worries over something too much)
Nerves
Lack of self comfidence
Lack of Physical Strenth
Lack of some skills (reading, writing etc.)

Likes :
Cherries
Fine cloths (she can't actually wear them but she enjoys looking at the pretty ladies in the upper Northen Quarters.
Flowers
Dreaming
The Sun

Dislikes :
Thuderstorms
Getting ill
Poverty (for her and others)
Social phobia (people looking down on her because of where she comes from)
Not being able to understand something

Quirks :
Hopeless Romantic
Sometimes talks to herself
Imaginary friends

Phobias :
Loud/sudden noises (like thunder)
Spiders
Pain
Rats

History :
Lili's was an only child, her father was killed in an accident when she was young (about 5-6), so Lili has few memories of him. Her mother, with whom she shares a striking resemblance in all but the colour of her hair which she gets from her father, passed away from sickness when Lili was almost 10 years old. Since then, Lili looked after herself. She lived in the small hut that she had grown up in for a little while before she was forced to leave.

She struggled terribly in the first few months when she had nowhere to go. Her fear of both storms, spiders and rats betrayed her in this new life she had been forced into. It was not until a local woodcutter, who collected and cut firewood for the Northwest quarter found her and took pity on her that she reached a more steady period in her life.

The man decided had taken pity on her having had two daughters with his late-wife (all three of whom he had lost to sickness). He promised that so long as she helped him collect the wood for his trade, she would look out for her and make sure she was fed. He became a sort of surrogate father, in place of the one she could barely remember. She sometimes stayed with him and sometimes stayed elsewhere. Sometimes, when he went into the Northwest quarter. He would take her with him to see the place. He was the one who gave the small wooden carving of the fan which she wore around her neck on a leather cord (a symbol of her goddess).

Sample :
Lili hurried through the darkening streets of the Southwest. The sky above her weeped as the thunder clapped, the sound echoing around her. The far off flash of light cast chilling shadows on the walls of the alleyways. Lili couldn't help but whimper.

Her hair was plastered to her face by the rain. Her ribbon drooping, almost coming loose. Her dress was sodden and heavy and her shoes gave her little protection from the icy ground beneath her. It was hard being a street kid, even one as privelidged as her. Kind Mr Parson was gone now, gone to the Southwest to deliever his goods. He would be back tomorrow, but for now she was alone.

Lili shivered as she turned into an alleyway. She was numb all over...but then why could she still feel the biting cold. Lili slumped against a wall, curling up beneath the alcove that sheltered her a little from the rain. She knew she shouldn't complain, she was lucky really. But she missed Mr Parson. She felt so lonely. Lili sobbed.

Somehow, despite her uncomfortable position, and the dark cold that threatened to suffercate her, she began to drift into unconciousness. Her tears falling to mix with the rain.

(short I know but...)

Unfortunately, for the time being, you are...

REJECTED

It seems you either haven't read the rules or have forgotten to do what they told you to do. Please fix this. Also, your application seems very generic and does not give me a very good look into how you see your character. On top of that, there are so many typos that it was a little difficult to read.

So please! Go ahead and edit your application and let me know when you feel it's ready for a second go. Thank you so much for your interest!
